New to forum but have read a lot about this. Have some questions and comments. I have Fords 1 1/2 lowering spring shackle and am going to install it and remove factory spring block to hopefully drop rear 3 inches to level. No change to front. Got spacers just in case but wondering if I need to install. Question--has anyone had to have front end aligned after this 3 inch rear drop? I also have a Steeda rear sway bar that I'm going to install. Saw some questions about this that I might can answer. I talked with them last week before ordering. They have a 2wd and 4wd rear for this. They said with 3 inch rear drop that they would suggest a 2wd kit as end links would be shorter keeping bar on a more level plane. I haven't installed it yet. Will do drop first and try that a couple of weeks to make sure everything is OK, If so, then I'll install rear bars. This might save someone some money. Looked a long time but Tire Rack was cheapest on Fords lowering shackles and even if Steeda gives you a 5% discount, you can save a lot more by buying through Jeggs (free shipping too). Hope this saves someone some money and someone can answer my question about front alignment. Thanks

I pulled the blocks and had 1.25" lowering shackels. Truck sat level and i didn't need an alignment.
I am running eibach rear shocks for a 2wd. Had 2wd bump stops but now have airbags.
I also noticed when i lowered the rear i gained about a 1/2" in the front.

Did the exact same thing to my '25 RCSB 4X4. It did not require a front end alignment afterwards. I did however have to do a driveway alignment of the thrust angle after moving everything around on the rear end. Mine did require shimming the rear to adjust for drive line angle though. You results may vary on the angle, with the assumption that you do not have a RC truck. Good luck, post your results.
