Returned home Sunday afternoon, Sep 8, from an almost 2 week football trip. Left 8/29 for Nashville. Left Nashville 9/5 for Blacksburg, VA. Left Blacksburg 9/8, arriving home (Richmond area) that afternoon. Put 1,348 miles on the truck. Excluding the leg from B'burg to home, since I haven't filled the tank yet, I averaged 10.462 mpg for 1,142 miles.

When on the interstates, I set the cruise for 65 mph, locked out gears 10, 9, 8, and set it in Tow/Haul Mode.

Except for the 2 nights in Blacksburg, we stayed in campgrounds. At Blacksburg, we camped in an open field. Here, I, of course, plugged my camper into my rolling generator. I was plugged in for 43 hours, using 4.3 gallons of gas. So I averaged 0.1 gallons per hour.

Pulling my smallish TT, (24.5' long and 6,000# GVWR) merging onto the interstate was a breeze. Step on the gas, and off she went. In no time, I was above speed limit, and causing no problems for anyone in the right lane. Then I could settle into my cruising speed.

Another perfect trip for the PB. Unfortunately, my football team, Va Tech wasn't as perfect. Lost on the road, and won at home.

I've now made two "speed run" trips of over 2,000 miles each way. One to Myrtle Beach, SC, for a ships reunion, and one to Northern Virginia for some property issues. Some 700 to 1,000 miles per day. The Powerboost is a real cruiser. These were "no sweat" trips.
