Does anyone have any experience with Line-X line of PPF or Undercoating options?

I am getting my first F150 hopefully in the next week and am going to get a Line-X spray bedlinner, but also have been looking at PPFs. A local car detail place quoted me $2500 for a full front XPEL PPF application. It looks like Line-X uses 3M Scotchgard. I was just thinking if I got the bedliner and the Line-X PPF at the same time I might be able to save some money and not have to take my truck to two different places.

Was also looking at the Line-X rustproofing and undercoating application they look to offer.

It does not look like Line-X offers a ceramic coating, but the other local place priced the ceramic coating at $1975. I realize the ceramic coating, the rustproofing, and the undercoating are all different applications.

Trying to make the most informed decisions I can so that I dont end up spending the same amount on protective items as I am paying for the truck in total if its really unnecessary.

Live in NC and when the weather looks grey outside...we like to buy bread, buy milk, and salt roads.

Line X actually offers one of the best undercoat options I have found recently. IMO the best thing to use for undercoating is Cosmoline. Line X uses a product called Valuguard 160 which is basically cosmoline. This does not need a yearly application.

However not all Line X shops use this. Some use a different Valuguard that is not the same thing. The key is to find out if they specifically use Valuguard 160 (160 is the key number). Also ask about the box frame. The good shops will tell you they use a 360 degree nozzle to do inside the frame. This is the most critical IMO. They usually quote about $600 for a full undercoating.

Good luck!

I recently had the Line X undercoating done. I believe it was Valuguard. Lifetime warranty and cost was just under $500 for undercoating and rust inhibitor. They were running a special. The undercoating is a messy application. A lot has to be masked off. If you choose to do this, my advice would be to double check everything either at the shop or when you get home. My place did not remove all the masking tape when they were done and the drive shaft had product all over it from their hands. I also found some overspray spots on the paint down low. I took it back and they cleaned it all up for me. Other than these issues It looks like they did a good job and I think it was worth it.
