Lights in Active Grille Shutter Area

I'm guessing it's not optimal, but what would happen if you installed a set of 3" or 3.5" cube lights to the right and left of the license plate in the active grille area? (Pic attached)

Has anyone done it? Seen it done?

I wish I had known about your bracket @SpaceWhiteF150 - I didn't find one on my searches so yesterday I decided to make my own and everything was fighting me - was just one of those jobs I am glad to never have to repeat.

Has anyone done the 6 SS3 behind the grill lights with an XLT grill?

Did you ever test & see how much light output you loose by the grill blocking it?
What do you think would give more output, the 6 SS3's or the 5 SS5s on the crosslink lightbar?

Well the SS5 are bigger lights but you can only fit 4 of them in there. You can't fit 5.

Technically there is room to actually fit 3 per side BUT you cannot access the side bolts to tighten to them to the brackets. So that's why you can only do 2x SS5 per side (total of 4).

We're running 6x SS3 Max in our truck which puts out 47,520 of raw lumen
4x SS5 Sport would be 15,200 raw lumen and 4x SS5 Pro would be 38,800 raw lumen.

So counting raw lumen, 6x SS3 Max would put out more.

We've not tried to measure how much light 6x SS3 max put out with and without the grill shutters, it's too difficult to do that kind of measurement. Some light gets blocked but not enough we worry about it. Because there is no other real alternative to hide lights behind a grill in this manor.
