Thanks for replying, did you extend the factory sensor if so how?
Are they aftermarket extensions?
I need to do this, tired of hitting OK button because mt bumper blocks the factory sensor.
The sensor will not pierce through any part made of metal or any material excessively thick.

You can try making a metal bracket and plastic weather cover, which is what I did.

I made the sensor bracket too. it was easy for me. It is unlikely to find such bracket for sale without it being custom made.

Only 50% of the major part on this car is aftermarket.

Did you use silicone to seal the bed corners and wheel wells? I got seals for my tailgate but when installing them i noticed a lot of light coming through the corners, even with a spray in liner. That is the next part I'm going to seal off when I have time.
No sillicone (as in caulking style sillicone)

I used bulb weather stripping to try to make it seal. Proper compression and shape is necessary to ensure at least somewhat functional seal.

It will not be perfect.

For every part of the frame on the underside of the drawer, there are two 3/8 foam seal per 1" width surface. All sides but the buttom part of the drawer are covered in 0.180" (i think) aluminum sheets for dust-proofing. Drawer opening mates with bulb seal.

I bought a custom one from truck-tool-box.com that is 6 feet long and 48 inches wide and 14 inches in height. it has removable partitions so I can adjust the size of the compartments and it protects everything inside from dirt and water and thieves. I used it in my 2011 Chevy 2500 and it now is being used in my F-150 truck.

It takes about 15 minutes to place in the bed and secure with 4 turnbuckles and about 15 minutes to remove it to free up the truck's bed for hauling.

Awesome build!

what did you use to plan it all out? Software or old school pencil/paper?

Notability was what I used to finish the drawings. This kind of design does not require CAD. it is very simple. Those deing spanned across 16 pages.

Notability was an App that I used to sketch / take note since I was a boy in high school.

But the app is trash now so I dont recommend.
