I’ve had 5 f150s over the years but this will be my first one since 2005. Just ordered it at Koons Ford of Woodbridge VA for 5% under invoice

Yeah I’m in no hurry as I’ve got my gas saver car and 2 work trucks. I just hadn’t had a nice new truck in years it was time to treat myself lol. And the fact that used ones 15+ weren’t that much cheaper!!! Crazy used market right nowCongratulations. This is a great day and I know your are excited.
Sadly too many of us know the euphoria of making that deposit only to sit and wait for months and months. Hopefully you get it before 2023...
On the bright side...this board is filled with incredible ideas and wisdom...and sarcasm and wit. Enjoy the ride and be patient...
Ordered Sept 2021...currently "In Production", with no delivery ETA...Its actually been in production since Feb 2, which probably means I am waiting on a Chip...Not sure who that jack@ss is, but I sure wish Chip was more available.
I've already got it home. Cost $936 for an open trailer transport to my house. I didn't want to drive it home in snow/ice.He was very easy to deal with! If you are in no hurry - that's good because of the supply chain mess. This is my first new truck in 19 years and it's pretty incredible. Stop over at the 12/13 or 12/20 thread and read some posts. Did dexter or somewhere there go over your truck good before they loaded it up to come to you? Also did you find a transporter yourself or did Koons vI've already got it home. Cost $936 for an open trailer transport to my house. I didn't want to drive it home in snow/ice.

If you ordered a Platinum, I hope your wait won't be as long as mine. Ordered May 28, No word other than they converted it to a 22Congrats, I ordered from Dexter last Tuesday 2/1. Same smooth process here. Now the waiting is going to harder... lol!!
So Dexter sent me a video of the truck. It's impossible to see any issues with paint or anything like that, but you can tell there are no large visible issues. I had planned on having my daughter going over it (she lives a few hours away), but snow/ice conditions prevented doing that. I just went on Dexter's word and his PDI guys who prepped it that is was good. He also mentioned something about if damage was found when it arrived at my house they would work with me. Fortunately we didn't need to test that.Did dexter or somewhere there go over your truck good before they loaded it up to come to you? Also did you find a transporter yourself or did Koons v
Ok doesn’t sound bad. I’m just gonna weigh my options when the time comes i guess. I’ve got a pregnant wife due may 3rd so that’s gonna be a huge factor this summer ! I called about 8 transporters on a Corvette forum list of carriers (mainly enclosed trailers, but open as well) and ended up going with a transport broker recommended by a fellow builder in/near my build week, who also does transportation work.
I figured it was worth $936 to get it shipped to me to not deal with airlines (some were cancelling flights at that time), weather conditions (we just came out of snow/ice), and trying to avoid "high speed" per the manual in the first 1000 break in miles driving it back home. Others on here have done the fly and drive and had no issues - I was probably being a bit too conservative on some of my concerns, but in the end the truck arrived safely & I'm happy with the results.
If I had more time, (i.e. not working full time), I'd have considered driving it back on state roads (not interstates) as one builder did from Iowa (Granger) to Florida. He said he and his wife took their time and stopped at small towns for breaks, food, stretch their legs, etc. Sounds like a great trip
