Waiting at my daughter’s practice. Almost 90 degrees outside. Running the AC in the truck. The ICE kicks on twice in 30 minutes. Runs for about a minute. So nice! ?
I’m enjoying that in the Florida heat as well!

I work remotely in my truck without warning. If something comes up I often have to login and take care of it immediately. The built in WiFi and the amazing ability for the truck to maintain the cabin perfectly without ICE running IS far better than I would have predicted.
That doesn't happen by accident or just as a lucky result of having the hardware available. I'm convinced a lot of testing and tweaking with deliberate intent is behind it.

I had someone that wanted to go for a ride to see what all the fuss is about this “hi-bred” truck.

We both jump in and he immediately starts saying “get this thing started and crank that AC, it’s hot as h@#l out here!”

I told him that I already had, he looked at the dash and pointed out that the truck wasn’t started because the tach was showing 0 rpms.

I had a big smile on my face when I told him to feel the air coming out the vent….cold no?

I could hear the gears in his head grinding as he tried to figure out how it was pushing cold air just sitting there in near total silence.

One of the first things I did was activate the hot spot then get it added to my AT&T account so now it's all in one bill, $20 a month for the truck to be unlimited data which is great!

Hybrid Idle is low key one of the greatest benefits of a hybrid vehicle. Combine it with a wifi hotspot and the center console workspace, and brother you got yourself a comfortable mobile office.

This is the reason I went with the Powerboost and the workspace. Occasionally have those days that I need to be in the car for an hour or so and do some work.

ICE = Internal Combustion Engine
You can see why Hybrid talk needed an acronym badly. Lol

Did this yesterday here in NC with 95+ temps when my wife ran into a store for "Just a minute.". An hour later she came back out. :)

Much nicer then turning the truck off and on and only lost about 5 miles to empty per the gauge.

One oddball thing as I neared the hour sitting there a yellow warning light showed up on the dash in between the temperature and oil pressure gauges (right where the yellow circle is).

Of course yesterday would be the day I managed to walk out of the house without my phone and by the time my wife came out it was already off. The closest indicator that I have seen in the manual that matches what showed up is the DEF indicator light (Mostly because I thought at the time it looked like a flaming line on water :) )

But odd that would show up on a non diesel engine. So far haven't seen this occur again.

lil off topic... sorry but when you are old school and sitting at a light and your brain forgets it's in electric mode, but just happen to glance down at the oil pressure showing zero, that's when I said ohhhh sh*t!:p

I had an EcoBoost with the autostart/stop contraption. That was much more annoying to me. But agree seeing that oil pressure drop out and the RPM gauge zero out took a bit to get used to.
