2024 F150 Lariat Powerboost
Hi everyone, I'm new here and hoping that someone might be able to share some insights.

I ordered a '24 Lariat Powerboost on Nov 8th. Ford came back pretty quick with a VIN and a production date. It says it went into production on schedule (Jan 22). Since then however, there has been zero updates. The app says 'Last Updated 1/31/24, and still says 'In Production'.

I contacted the dealer and they said it shows 'built' on their end, but they claim its sitting on a lot in Dearborn awaiting quality checks, though a part of me thinks they are just saying that. I figure if that was the case, the app would at least say 'Built'.

Am I just paranoid, or has anyone else encountered issues like this?

Go on Ford Chat (Support on Ford.com.. I log into the site, but I don't think you need to) and ask them. For example.. here's my most recent response from chat. It's worth a shot:

The online tracker is almost useless given how inaccurate it has proven to be.

There are a few threads in this forum section covering this topic.

As stated above, the tracker is not accurate…

The basic overview is that Ford has THOUSANDS of F-150’s produced in January and February that have not shipped yet. Many frustrated buyers are waiting along with you here…

Welcome to the club of hurry up and wait. Seriously, the more you look for an update, the more disappointed you become. I had an ETA of 03/08, unfortunately, that never happened and no one is able to give me a straight answer on when it will arrive. I check every Friday, and get the same response, we don't have an update.

I was talking to my neighbor yesterday, who has a friend that works for Roush. He said they hired a bunch of people, who were not certified mechanics, that do nothing but replace the instrument cluster on F150's, all day, 24/7. The regular employees were joking about the quality of their work when they showed up with Harbor Freight tool boxes. Each person can replace 2 clusters per hour. I assume these are the early produced vehicles (Dec. - Feb.), so you can guess how long it will take to fix all those early trucks that have been parked for months. My KR was finished on 2/16 and went to "Built" status 3/22. It was originally set to ship to dealer by 4/2, but that has been pushed back twice now. The latest shipment estimate is it's supposed to happen by 4/22. Based on Ford's track record, I don't think that will happen. To summarize, the 2024 F150 launch that was supposed to be just a "refresh", it's been a real Sh#tshow. I saw a great suggestion on this forum - "Ford should fly their Q1 flag upside down", the universal signal for distress. And as every day and week goes by, my current vehicle is losing trade in value. I figure I've lost thousands, and Ford doesn't give a dam, and has no intent of reimbursing us for these long delays. Hell of a way to run a company, maybe they need new leadership. The early orders were made by loyal Ford customers, and Ford does nothing to reward that loyalty. I have seen people who ordered after I did, have their trucks built after mine, and their trucks have been delivered. Special orders should be prioritized over retail stock shipments, but that's not happening. And I think we can all agree, the Ford Order Tracking website is worthless.
