I upgraded to a 12" Screen and changed the APIM for one with Nav. Now when I start the truck it says Brake system problem, battery low and the parking brake will not unlock. There is a connector that I don't know where it goes, I don't remember unplugging it but if you look at the pictures the harness is right under the ground and it splits 1 plug goes to the ignition switch and the other one that's unplugged in the picture with the red end, I don't know where it goes or if it was even connected prior to me changing the screen. I put the original APIM back in with the 8" screen and it gave me the same brake/battery/locked parking brake issue. Can anyone help me? I'm not a novice at working on and building cars, but I can not find where that connector plugs in? I disconnected the battery prior to doing any work on the truck to protect the electronics. I'm baffled. It seems like it's a plug for gauges or sensors. For all I know it's a extra harness foe trailer brakes and I have a problem that's not associated with the plug at all. I have the battery on a charger to top it off to make sure it's not a low battery issue causing this. But I'm looking for help. Truck is a base 23 XL RCSB 5.0.

I would guess trailer brake controller but that is only a guess.

Have you put it in drive and pulled forward a bit to see it the parking brake will unlock. Had a similar issue and I had to put it in drive and pull forward and the parking brake released. Wasn’t for changing the APIM out though.

It's in my garage, I can only pull forward a few feet before I hit a wall. So while I've tried to get it to pull forward I'm not trying it too hard because I don't want the truck ending up in the kitchen.
