I was contemplating upgrading to a Bilstein rear shock and thought I would see if I would go with the 1" or 2" lifted versions when my Airlift system is filled with air for towing my boat, but not loaded. So, I started out measuring the wheel well heights at various pressures. To my surprise the passenger side was consistently higher by 1/4". While I know this isn't much, I started to think that if anything, it should be higher on the drivers side to compensate for the drivers weight. So this begs an answer to the question, is this intentional by Ford or is it common on the PB for some reason. Thought I'd run it by the forum to see if there is consistency among the PB owners or if my truck has an issue that others don't. I realize in the scheme of things that it is minor, but it's one of those nagging questions that bugs me..

My driver side is a half inch higher than the Passenger side . i think the reason why is the gas tank and the drivers .... to compensate for the drivers weight and gas . Were you on flat ground When you took the measurements

Yes, on level ground, but my passenger side is 1/4" higher than the drivers side. I also have a left rear tire wearing much worse than the others, so I'm wondering if there is something with the suspension associated with the tire wear. Not sure if I should level the bed with a little additional air on the driver's side to make it level? I am going to get 4 new tires and I'm planning to get a 4 wheel alignment at the same time. So I'll see what the dealer has to say. Just curious if others have the same issue.
