Is all interior color “black” the same?

I have been looking to replace my a-pillar trim to a higher trim level that has the B&O tweeter pods. My XLT has the Sports Black interior (according to the sticker). I came across some used ones from a salvage yard (out of a Tremor) but they were significantly “blacker” than mine. I would almost say my interior is a very dark gray, almost black, but not like the Tremor black. Ford lists a color called medium dark gray which is significantly lighter than mine based on photos.

so, are there different “shades” of black across the various trim level?

Mosey, indeed there are various black colors. I found out when trying to purchase a "black" visor off eBay. My advice, use your VIN at parts.ford.com and note the color of the specific part you are looking for. Sometimes that will give you the black version i.e. Onyx, Moca, Black, etc.
