Hey guys,
I have a 2021 XLT 3.5 eco I purchased a few months ago. Recently, I removed the air dam and installed a tremor skid plate, and I also added a kicker hideaway subwoofer. Neither of these mods seems to cause an Issue, but not long after I installed the subwoofer, I got a "Charging System Service Now" pop-up, followed by a battery light that stayed on for a while. This started a few weeks ago, and since then I have tried various DIY troubleshooting to avoid dropping it off at the dealership and paying out of pocket. Sometimes I can take a drive, and have zero issues, sometimes it will come on for 10 min, go away, come back a few times.
The DTCs I see in forscan:
I've completely disconnected the subwoofer, so that's not a factor anymore.
The battery resting voltage is 12.84, and with the truck running - 14.06 (it's an H6)
I've disconnected and reconnected the battery, and reset the BMS.
I've also charged the battery.
I can't seem to find other accounts of this issue, specifically being intermittent. That's what's stumping me a little bit. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when the error pops up and the light comes on, and when it shuts off. I could be cruising along at 45mph, with no changes in anything whatsoever, and it comes on and then turns off a few minutes later.
Any suggestions for further troubleshooting is greatly appreciated. I'm moderately handy/mechanicaly inclined, and happy to try whatever.

- U0284 - Lost Communication with Active Grille Air Shutter Module A
