Hey guys,
I’m recently having issues with the exterior and interior lights not coming on when I open the doors. I’ve even noticed when I lock and unlock with the remote there is now just a quick flash of the parking lights and that’s it. Possibly some kind of black out mode that I’ve somehow enabled? I’ve gone through the touchscreen and don’t see any options for this feature.

Is auto start/stop working for you? My guess is no. It's likely that your battery is low and the truck is keeping stuff off unless necessary.

Cooler temps and low-battery like symptoms, might need to check it. Before starting in the morning, pop the hood and check your voltage.

Mine does this regular like.
Usually after having accy on for a couple of hours.
(I chill in the work parking lot about 90 min every day)
A-S-S does not work when the battery drops to 12v or less.
Also, trips of under 20 miles are not enough to fully charge battery again.
I guess the new batteries want a slow charge for topping off.
Couple of weeks ago, her and I took a little day trip a couple of counties away, and by the time we returned the Start/stop was working again.
Worked for about a week before it stopped.
Leaving on a 1200 mi jaunt tomorrow.
First time out of state with this one.
Pretty sure it will get fully charged before I get to Nevada

Same as OP, I do not drive my truck enough, it seems, to keep the battery charged. So after a weekend, when I haven't driven the truck this happens for a day or two until I drive it enough to get the battery to what ever level it needs to be at for the "nicety" features to work. Your remote start from your app will not work either, but from your key fob it will.
I probably need to put a battery trickle charger on it on the weekends. Or I need to take it to the dealer and see if my battery is going south.
And my driving habits haven't changed when I got this truck, but none of my other cars did this.

Hi there! Go ahead and privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer. I’ll look into this light concern for you. Thank you!

Did you ever get this resolved? I just got a used 21 and it seems to be having similar issues.

I checked my battery and it's sitting right at 12.3v.

@armykyle1@l - I did. Ford replaced the battery and I had a light under my passenger seat (visible from the back seat) that stayed on for ours after shutting the truck off. They replaced that as well. Not sure if that was the leading cause by draining the battery but probably had something to do with it.
FYI- my battery was showing 12+ volts as well so I was a bit surprised this corrected the issue.

@Lpetters84 thank you for the fast reply! I may bring mine in to see if that might repair it. I'm also trying a trickle charge too. Glad I got it CPO.

@armykyle1@l you’re welcome! I know It started acting up after the major Blue Cruise update and never fully recovered. I had to hook my truck up to a trickle charger just to get the Bluecruise update to successfully install (after multiple failed attempts) and I also think that that constant start stop feature is a bad idea and hard on the battery. I try to turn it off when I remember.
