I am not sure which wires I need to splice or terminate here.

I have 3 pinned ends and two power lines. One for ground and it looks like the other for power that I guess I would splice into the upfitter switches?

but then what do I do with the pinned ends that are meant for the switch/toggle that I will not be using?

So after lots more googling and digging through mostly old threads on other forums, it appears this is a rely harness that comes from rigid. I can use the ground, cap the positive terminal, and cap the two other pinned leads and solder join the live wire and it should all work. However, then I have lots of random wires running through the truck.

is there a better way to do this?

Following! Just picked up my 2024 Raptor tonight and will be adding off-road lights soon!

Did they come with a harness with switch by any chance? If not and they’re stand alone, usually red goes to the upfitter switch wire (whichever you choose) and the black to the ground bolt.

You run a wire from the pre run harness behind your battery (at least that’s where it is on my truck) and run the wire into the connector for the positive side of the light. Refer to your owners manual to find out the capacity of each wire and what wire corresponds to what switch.

For the negative side you can find a convenient bolt nearby that’s threaded into metal as a ground.

If I want to tap into the factory fogs for the SAE compliant lights, what are my wires for positive and ground?

there are 4 wires going into the factory fog light.

Ended up using a prebuilt wiring harness that connects the factory wiring to the plug found in the rigids. This is so I can go back to stock at some point in the future.

I ended up separating the wire harness and splicing in the ground hoop connector to use the factory ground of the battery. Tapped into switch 1, after much reading and researching color codes as the abbreviations made absolutely no sense to me at first.

followed factory wiring as best as possible down under the battery and on the top of the wheel well.

It’s not hard but takes time to pull the grill and disconnect everything from the bumper wiring harnesses, etc.

everything powers on as expected and while these rigids are a big step up from the almost useless factory fog lights, they don’t exactly blow me away. They are far better than factory though, and that is the point!

Installed ditch lights today.

Ran the wires under the cowl and attached to the wiper fluid lines. Taking care to ensure the wires do not contact the wiper motor arms.

Overall quite easy install. Used switch 2 to control them.

Nice! I haven’t been impressed by rigid personally, especially for the price! Diode dynamics and Baja designs are where it’s at!!

Looks great! At full retail price I agree. I bought all of these during Black Friday pricing. The SAE fogs are fantastic, but the spots are underwhelming…BUT the ditch lights are very impressive.

My favorite mod is coming up in about 4 months - the paid off truck mod.

Then maybe get a new front bumper and redo all the front lighting…

One kid will be out daycare by the summer too, so it will be like getting two raises this year ?
