Does everyones emblem do that lightup cycle where it like goes in a circle pattern like on Putco's website? I know for sure mine doesnt it just illuminates.
Mine just lights up solid at once. It would be cool if it did a circle pattern when turning on.

Yes, mine does do the light up sequence as it is shown on Putco's website.
Putco makes the factory emblem for Ford and they also sell the identical product because they are officially licensed Ford aftermarket products.
Ford didn't want the startup sequence on the factory installed units or for the emblems sold from Ford parts. The rumor is that they thought that the startup sequence was too "Lincolnish" because several of them have the illuminated emblem that does a startup sequence that is similar.

To get the startup sequence for the Ford supplied illuminated emblems...
There is a green wire in the wire loom that is not connected to anything and to get the startup sequence, that green wire needs to be connected to a ground in order to enable that

I’ve added it to my 2024 Lariat. It’s a plug and play into the headlight harness or you can add it to the fuse box under the hood.
I used the headlight harness.
Is it easy? Got pictures? Also, do you have the part number? I also have a 24 Lariat, but mine is 501A, should be same part i guess.
Was it VML3Z8A224J ?

Sorry I didn’t even think about taking pictures.
Yes, that is the part number.
It’s not super hard, just time consuming.
Just take your time with it.
I never had this grill apart before so It was learn as I go.
YouTube is very helpful.

I mean, dealer charge for installation would be 182. Is it worth diy if it's time consuming for 182?

If you have the mechanical skills that would save you $182 but if you have the money to spend then get them to do it.
It’s not hard but you do have to detach the shutters from the grill to take the old emblem out and put in the lighted one.
Just make sure where you route the wire harness so it won’t interfere with the shutters.
