How long after placing an order can changes be made?

I wanted to wait until more trucks hit the lots to make my final decisions on ordering packages and colors, but its looking like these lead times are getting pretty wacky.

If I place an order, will I be able to make changes afterwards? If so, roughly how long after I place the order?

Personally, I would wait to order until you have major things decided. (Trim, color, package)

If it’s a minor change like add 360 prep or switch tow tech for max tow. Then you can do that up until a vin is assigned. I believe those things can be changed after a vin is assigned it’s just way harder on the dealer. But this is just from what I have read I could be wrong.

I’ve added small options twice since ordering last week. Added the integrated storage, and called my dealer yesterday to add the fold flat work surface (I don’t know why I didn’t order both from the start). It was no problem for either, but I haven’t gotten a VIN yet, so Agashi is probably right.
