Hello All,
I have a 22, XL, STX and want to put a hood deflector on. I’m finding confusing reviews on Amazon on what fits and what doesn’t. I was looking at a AVS that said it fits but many say is doesn’t.
Any recommendations on which ones fit correctly.

thanks

I believe AVS has a few different models that fit our trucks, assuming you don't have the BAP hood. I would check their website for correct model numbers.

As thebigdu stated the F150 has 2 different hoods. The normal hood will accept most AVS bug/rock guards. There are also a lot of other options.

F150's with the BAP, and the Tremor, have a Tremor hood and as of yet, they do not make a guard for that style. I cannot believe they still do not make one, but they don't. I check regularly because I have the BAP Tremor hood and that is one of the main things I want. If you do any highway driving that may be the best money you can spend.

I had XPEL PPF installed on the front part of my hood, been happy with it.

This is the one I got:

https://www.autoventshade.com/aeroskin-ii

Very simple install, took me all of 10 minutes with prep. Getting it aligned was the hardest part. I had a bad experience with the ones that sit off the hood as far as vibration goes so I’ll not go that route anymore. They Also have one like this with LED marker lights if you’re in to that.

I went with Ford's hood deflector - the low profile one. More protection vs deflector as it sits flush with hood. I like the look on my agate black truck.

I have the ford OEM and would recommend it as well. Personally I think the flush mounts are so much better , especially if you live in areas with snow or lots of leaves . Nothing gets between the defector and the hood . Also they don’t buffet with the wind from passing transports

Has this prevented rocks from chipping your windshield?

I couldn’t really tell in this truck as it hardly goes on the highway. I have since got a new hood and moved the deflector to my company truck and it for sure helps with bugs and small stuff. I had one the size of a 13ish mm socket hit my windshield in my work truck and crack it so obviously results may vary. I do get behind semis every day hauling stuff and do notice fine particles don’t hit the windshield as much.

I did the Xpel PPF on high impact area's only. So far I love it. I've have no chips or PPF issues and I live in the snow belt with lots of snow, salt. I'm on the highway daily.
