Hidden Winch Mount for 2022 F150?

I'm looking to add a hidden winch mount to my 22 2.7 Ecoboost 4x4..

I saw some people modified the earlier RC hidden which mount but that seems like a pain. I notice this part on amazon. There's an installation video. Seems legit but looks like the intercooler air dam is removed to make space for the winch?

You can not do this on an ecoboost without a high mount intercooler! Rough country and Swarfworks are the only companies with kits out!

last time I checked it was a pretty expensive and complicated procedure to move that intercooler.

Or trade for a V8.

Plus that way you aren't hauling a heavy winch and mount around 24/7 and you can switch it to the rear as well!

I did the Rough Country mount with a Warn Zeon 10-S, I didn't know the Swarfworks mount existed when I bought it. This was one reason why I went with the V8. I would do a hitch mount, but my F-150 is exclusively my overland/ trail rig, so the winch stays put.

When I have had a winch on a truck I found that 100% of the time I used it to pull some fool's vehicle out of a place where a 2WD vehlcle should not have been driven. To pull myself out it is usually better to pull the vehicle back to solid ground and then find another route.

One thing that is overlooked is that a front mounted winch may prevent the airbag sensors from activating the airbags.

YUP I put on a front hitch as well and am working on a winch I can move from front to back- just need to wire it up- After a BUNCH of years off roading, as Calson said- I never needed it (fingers crossed haha) for myself, usually just to help someone else out of a spot. just a thought for you
