I have a 22 Ford F-150 Platinum PB and I was getting several items done on my truck (2" level kit, tires and rims, Powertrax Pro bed cover, all the chrome painted or wrapped, tint, bed liner), it took about 4 weeks in the shop. While my truck was at the shop, I started to get some error codes on my Ford app that the battery was getting low and that it was starting to shut down items. One of the things this shop was doing is smoking my rear tail lights, so they were unplug from the truck for at least 3-4 weeks. When I picked it up, I noticed that the BLIS warning lamp was illuminated and I had a Blind Spot System Fault & a Cross Traffic System Fault. The shop told me that they had had this happen a couple of other times and that all I need to do is go to a Ford dealership to have them flash my BLIS system, to get them to work again.
Being a little frustrated, I went to the Ford dealership to get them to flash the BLIS system and they said that they could not get their system to flash because they could not get my battery up to 12.7 volts, even with two chargers on it. The other issue was they were going to try and charge me like $900 to do the flash, which seemed real high. On the paper work they wrote the following; "Checked cross traffic. Found code 3002 in both rear SOD modules. Attempted to program with vehicle VIN number. Unable to perform programming procedure due to VIN numbers already in both SOD modules". So we agreed that I would just take my truck back to the shop that did all my customization...knowing that they did not have anything to flash the BLIS system.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done and what my next steps should be?
Thanks in advance
