After over 6 months, my f150 finally came in. 2025 4x4 xl rcsb 5.0. The plan the whole time was to Whipple Supercharge it. For those that have gone through the process, can you help me? I want to go Stage 1 so I can keep my warranty. I'd also like to add a chiller and possibly E85. And while under the knife, go ahead and do a trans cooler.

I am located right on the border of Tennessee and Virginia. Have any of you used any shop anywhere near that?

If you tune it for E85 don’t expect to maintain that warranty.

I fix software bugs!
Nice truck! I like that color combo!

Be sure to read the warranty carefully. Pay close attention to how much they actually cover for the engine, drivetrain, and other components. Items like tires, cat-back exhaust systems, chillers, or running E85 (as mentioned) are all no-no’s if you want to keep your warranty intact. Do your homework, read it, understand it, and reach out to Whipple directly if you have any questions. Depanding on your plans for your truck, you may decide to go with a Stage 2 instead.

The ’21+ 5.0 doesn’t have traditional oil pump gears, for better or worse, it uses a belt-driven oil pump. I’m not entirely sure what’s meant by “crank sprocket”; if you’re referring to a crankshaft support bracket, Whipple says it’s not needed with a Stage 1 or 2 setup. Still, if it gives you peace of mind, it certainly won’t hurt.

As for the transmission cooler, the truck already has one from the factory. I’ve seen plenty of debates from owners defending the upgrade, but I’m not convinced it’s necessary, unless you plan on really beating on your truck. Just keep in mind that our transmissions actually like running hot fluid.

I’ll admit, having the FP/Whipple setup made my truck noticeably better, just make sure you respect the added power.

Again, congrats and enjoy your new truck!

Just my $0.02.

I used L8r-hp. Igor does great work, dropped my truck off at 5 pm on a Tuesday and he loaned me his truck to go to hotel. My truck was ready by noon the next day! Excellent work and customer service. And the price was amazing! I think he charged me 1200.00 for the install. He is right below Ashville NC

If you want to run Full E85 itll require a fuel system injectors and custom tuning which could mess with the warranty. Just a heads up on that. I can get you setup with everything you would need Whipple etc and are running some great deals on parts during the Month of November Let me know if i can help in anyway !

Personally I think the whole "warranty" angle is just to help people that are on the fence about getting a whipple have a reason to pull the trigger. And I only say that because thats pretty much how it worked for me. Lol.

Ultimately I feel like if you want to "have fun" with the truck and have some peace of mind there are mods that need to be done that will ultimately void your warranty. The warranty feels good that its there but its not a get out of jail free card when you go out and push your work truck like its a high end sports car built to handle it. Personally I think either a cat delete or the SPD y-pipe and free flowing cat back exhaust is a must for a stage 1. The SPD y-pipe was the single most impactful mod on my truck. The sound, performance and confidence I have in the truck has made it so much more enjoyable when I cruise around. Also I think one of the biggest things you can do is to yourself. You have to be cognizant of the trucks limits. If I drive spirited I only do it in spurts. And you have to give the truck chances to cool down. Don't get sucked into a prolonged run going down the highway.
