Has anyone else experienced this with the shifter?

This has happened multiple times over the last couple weeks. Hoping to get it in next week but curious if anyone else has had this happen and what the fix might be.

Looks like a dealer problem to me.
You could try folding it down and back up but from that sound it might get stuck.

Mine has acted funky a couple times (not lately, but I am more focused on how I use it), and I of course looked here asap. There has been some others talking about - and/or replacing - the shifter, but I believe your situation is a bit different than mine & others. From pictures of the part, and what mine feels like, it seems like a glorified Nintendo controller and I'm very scared about when mine breaks too. Talk about over-engineered. I anticipate it'll be when I'm in the middle of nowhere....

I would definitely take that in to be checked.
Mine didn’t make sound like that but, it would sometimes not shift all the way to drive or it would get stuck in drive and I couldn’t move it.
They ended up replacing it.
