A search of this came up with nothing. Shocking! I usually get 500+ answers to searches.
I have a problem with my 2021 Lariat GPS. A long time ago I set my home location and anytime I was just "playing" with the GPS and had it take me home, it worked just fine. Well, in the last 4-5 months when I get within 1/2 mile of my house it tells me my house is 1/2 mile ahead on the right. Wrong. It is on the left or South side of the road. It has even taken me 150 feet past my house and into a subdivision. I have search and can not find a way to reset it to the correct location and nothing works. Sitting in my yard and setting the home position does not fix it. Any ideas?

Can you delete the entry and re-enter?

Does the Ford App show your truck in the correct location?

I never use the crappy Ford Navigation, it has gotten me lost more than it got me to correct locations.
I stick to Google Maps and it works great.

Hard to tell if there’s something wrong with your GPS or not. Lots of reasons why it could be off even if it were otherwise working properly. https://www.gps.gov/systems/gps/performance/accuracy/#:~:text=a fixed location.-,Is military GPS more accurate than civilian GPS?,while military receivers use two.

Three other things to think about for further diagnosis:

1. Is it just your home that seems to be off or does the nav get you to the wrong location everywhere?

2. Have you tried using your GPS location/coordinates for your home instead of your home address? Or vice-versa? Do you get the same inaccuracy?

3. Does the map generally put you in the right place when you’re just driving around?

1. Just the home location.
2. I will give that location coordinates a try.
3. Unit does a great job with other locations far from my house.
Other comment: I have tried to reset it, but that does not work.

Sounds to me like the GPS is working fine and the maps are inaccurate for your home. Not much you can do about that. And I’ve seen similar behavior with every navigation aid I’ve ever used, including Google maps. Everything will be fine and then one day I navigate to a destination and the mapping software says it’s on the other side of the street or it’s actually a half block further away, according to the map. Unfortunately in your case, it appears you have found a similar mapping error and it just happens to be your home.

If you want to further explore whether the GPS is actually misreading your coordinates, see if you can borrow an accurate hand-held GPS, like a Garmin that can access GPS and GLONASS, and sit in your truck with it. You can compare the Garmin’s coordinates to the ones provided by your truck. If they’re the same or close, the GPS is fine. You can pull GPS coordinates from your truck by tapping the location box at the bottom of the navigation screen.

the answer is....................................................your house is moving with the rotation of the earth.

mine will routinely use my across the street neighbors house as the OFFICIAL you have arrived, even though its over 11 house numbers away and about 100 feet from mine.

other times as i pull into my drive at the front of my house it will either say 162 or 179 Wichita. my house is 162 and say you have arrived
if i park in my carport that is on my other attached lot, it also uses his address as home. this driveway is directly across from his house

this only happens when i select HOME on the nav screen.

i think its google as they are the ones that ask for feedback after i have arrived.
or maybe the truck gps is not picking up more than 3 satellites so its not as accurate?

if i start up and see the map it tells me i am home with the icon thingy.

then i read a thing about valets and others seeing your HOME location on your av screen and they know where you live and you should use a home location a block away or ???
i dont use valets:eek:

Well......Since we are spinning a little over 1000 MPH and going through space at 66,000 MPH, I guess my house must have moved a little.
When I find some spare time I will mess with the suggestions listed here. We will see....
