Last night, I was reading a post about fitting taillights from a 24 on a 21-23 (2024 OEM F-150 LED Tail Lights retrofit install on a 21-23), and it got me pondering about F150 generations. Was enough of the truck redesigned to call it gen 15? Seemed awfully quick to be another generation, but I don't know. So I googled it, and the AI generated response made me chuckle:

So the answer is.... No, it is not gen 15, but yes, it is the next generation WITHIN gen 14. Somewhat loose with the word "generation."

It could be sooner, at least with the powertrains. I'm remaining hopeful at least, though it's going to take some revolutionary stuff for me to let go of my perfectly functioning 22 that can take aftermarket ai ADAS as well as a tune. Plus I've vowed to not purchase another Ford until farley is gone due to continued poor management under his time.

On another note, switching from stock google assistant on the phone to gemini's model has brought a whole new capability to being productive behind the wheel. It has access to my full suite of google apps making email reading / replying as well as accessing documents / sheets, calendar building amazing. Though I'm eagerly awaiting the ability to run my own local ai model / custom agents.
