My truck seems to be plagued with some glitchy electrics. It seems to be getting worse over the past month or so. On Jan 18th and Jan 20th I got two Sync Power-up updates and I'm currently on 3.5.4. I don't know if this is related or not. I've owned the truck since October and didn't specifically notice anything before that.

Here's what I'm seeing:
1. Remote door unlock usually doesn't unlock any doors. Though, sometimes it just unlocks the driver's door and sometimes it unlocks all doors like it should. I press the button on the remote, the lights blink like it received the signal but when I walk up to the truck the doors are still locked.
2. Cruise control sets itself when I turn it on. Happens more than half the time. I turn on the cruise and it sets itself to whatever speed I'm currently doing without actually hitting the set button. This can be kind of dangerous if I'm not expecting it. I don't have adaptive cruise.
3. Auto high beams sometime don't work. I see the "A" in the cluster, dark road with no traffic and no high beams. But other times it works just like it should.
4. That small partition on the right side of the main screen will randomly just display whatever it wants. Doesn't matter what I set it to, next time I get in the truck it could be on something else - MPG, Car Play, whatever.

Is anyone else seeing this sort of behavior?

My electronics have been relatively trouble-free, but it's interesting that you mention the doors being locked after using the remote. I did unlock my truck from my house once since the updates and found it relocked when I got to it. Maybe Ford added an auto relocking feature in the updates? If so, I would imagine there is a setting so it can be turned on or off, but I haven't checked. Or maybe the feature was always present but I had it turned off before the update?

I have adaptive cruise, so maybe the button and activation are different, but mine starts immediately upon turning on the system. It's always been that way, so I assume it's normal.

Good luck figuring out your issues!

I am not sure of the (1) lock/unlock issue. (2)The cruse sets to what ever speed you are going when you turn it on. If you are accelerating, the setting will grey out until you are no longer accelerating. It then will turn yellow and hold the set speed. (3)I found my auto high beams will go to low beams when there are street lights or bright lights on buildings in front of the truck. They also shutoff around 55 km or about 30 mph. (4)You could try resetting your screen but holding the power button and forward scan button at the same time for about 10 seconds or until the screen goes black.

Most vehicles will auto re-lock if remotely unlocked and no door opened. This is auto to prevent accidental permanent unlock. I've found it to be rather quick on my fords. Typically it's 30-45 seconds but it's much faster than that in the ford's.

The change from driver to all to locked seems glitchy. Agree this could be an issue and might require reaching out to Ford or the dealer.

Mine does this, and I consider it an improvement. I've always hated turning it on and then having to set it. MY2020 was like that; not sure if it's something FORscan can roll back. Good news is I don't think that's a glitch.
3. Auto high beams sometime don't work. I see the "A" in the cluster, dark road with no traffic and no high beams. But other times it works just like it should.
Okay this is glitchy, I think, in general. I've noticed that simply reflection of mile markers can be enough to make it turn off and on. I'm not sure if it's "not working" or just way too sensitive. I haven't been able to play with it as I live in a small town and never on the road long.
4. That small partition on the right side of the main screen will randomly just display whatever it wants. Doesn't matter what I set it to, next time I get in the truck it could be on something else - MPG, Car Play, whatever.
I've noticed this as well, although not consistently. My theory is that it tries to be too smart for it's own good. If the main screen is radio, then card defaults to bluetooth. if main screen is phone, then card defaults to media. If card set to bed cam, main screen stays on radio with no source change, and if the next green light lasts less then 8 seconds, then keep the card on bed cam UNLESS main screen stays on radio but temperature has dropped below 71.5 degrees, then change card to zone lighting. I'm not saying I've cracked the algorithm but I'm sure someone smarter than me will.

In all seriousness, I hope you can get proper diagnosis to make sure the truck operates as it should, whatever that may be. (y)

There have been a surprising number of posts on this forum of 12v batteries beginning to fail early and causing a wide array of electrical glitches.
