I dont have the cats meow PB
but we do need a good standby genny
i have a 8k watt one in the bus, but running it to power house is a PITA as it in the garage so i have to open roof vent and a window to draw fresh air in and exhaust any unwanted stuff out.
it has an adapter that feed hot exhuast out the wll through a stuffing box a long extension, but it still heats up the area pretty good, great for winter, not so great in summer

a few years ago my power provider which is a COOP turned me on the generlink system which a transfer switch mounted at the meter base under your power meter. it allows you through a proprietary cord set to plug in a generator up to 12,500 watts surge and 10k watts continuous or 40 amps
it will run an ac and any other needed stuff like fridge or freezer etc
last week i decided enough and ordered a new portable 12,500 peak and 9500 continuous genny and generlink
toady power company installed my generlink and i now we are set
generlink is not cheap 40 amp with surge is 1k bucks and so was genny as i got it on sale plus vet discount and it was not made in china...it was made in veitnam

most power companies in the hurricane zones allow this unit
you just need to call the generlink folks and they can tell you if your provider is a carrier or not. some power companies even have the device you buy from them vice a distributor. i got mine from gainesville georgia s he had them in stock

A product that just makes sense. Likely won't work with the powerboost though due to its native GFI functionality. It'd work floating the ground however but that method despite mimicking utility to the T makes 'the worshipers of the almighty golden code faith' upset.

A different transfer switch for pb is a must
thus one is limited to 40 amps
but that will run most of my place in emergency
ac, internet, lights and freezers, sump pump etc
whats good here, is the electric company has given its blessing so they do the install and of course check the circuitry and fix or adjust any ground issues or the like
i still have to to do a run in load check within 3 days to ensure warranty is in place
it also has a huge white appliance coverage for surge as part of the generlink
i can plug in genny and it will turn off line power and then use genny to run house.

for us it was very cost effective versus the generac standby thing since we dont have nat gas and would require a HUGE propane tank and separate electrician to do the install while the electric company watches
