Hello,
I am looking for any advise regarding a front end vibration between 60-70mph.
I recently traded my '18 f150 4x4 ccsb 3.5 eco for a '21 f150 4x4 lariat FX4 157" wheel base and have been battling a vibration/humming noise coming from the front end between 60-70mph. It sounds like a bearing is failing in the front end somewhere.
I took the truck to a local dealer and they replicated the noise and replaced the following:
- Replaced leaking front pinion seal & passenger cv axle seal- Made no difference
- Replaced the 2-pieces driveshaft- The advisor said that it was fixed but it actually made no difference after I picked it up so turned around and brought it right back but "they did not have the time to keep working on it"
I then made an appointment at the dealership where I bought the truck from and they replicated the noise and determined that it was in the front differential BUT could not work on the vehicle since the first dealer already attempted to fix the issue and that I had to take the truck back to them...
I then made another appointment with the first dealer and they have had my vehicle for 2 days now have tried the following;
- Rebalanced the tires- Made no difference
- Removed the front drive shaft to eliminate vibrations in the front differential & transfer case?- Made no difference
- They are currently removing all of the heat shields to see if they are causing a vibration.
I am going on 2 months of in & out of dealerships trying to find a resolution so any advice would be helpful!
