Frame Rust & Protection

Hi all.
2021 model driven in Ontario, Canada. Haven’t done underbody rust protection.

is this normal for a truck that is under 2 years old?

I've got a bit of the same, and i got mine undercoated last year. For me it's mostly around where the welds are.

I don't know if it's normal but in my opinion I would apply some fluid film to every part of the undercarriage you can get access to. With rust forming on the outside of the frame and most likely inside of it as well where you can't see it, painting it would only cover it up and make it worse in the future.
