Hi everyone, 1st post here new to the forum. I currently on a jeep gladiator and thinking about getting a new F150 and going with a supercharger and probably lowering it slightly. I have 3 growing kids and 2 dogs so the Jeep is just a little small inside so the super crew seems like the way to go. If I’m reading the FP700 correctly it seems to come with wheels and tires and some other stuff. If I go that route but don’t want that stuff is it an option to just buy the ford performance version of the whipple and have the dealer install that or does that change anything like the warranty.
If I go direct from whipple I’m I correct in understanding then there is no ford more ford powertrain warranty and that whipple only warranty their blower but not the motor. It seems like Roush offers up to 15k of warranty. Is that full power train or just engine?
It seems like the thing people dislike about the ford version is the 105 speed limiter. I certainly get how that kills a 1/4 drag time (and I do live very close to the Island drag way in NJ) but I will only take it to the track once or twice. I have an 89 foxbody with a stick that’s way more fun. Any other reasons to go with whipple direct or Roush?
Thanks in advance for any responses.
