I have the factory tray mats and so far so good. As mentioned by others, there are better ones out there. WeatherTech now has a more expensive version which supposedly addresses the slickness and curling issue. It's called FloorLiner HP but I will probably steer clear of them and go with something like Husky.

I bought my truck earlier this year and the dealer threw in the floor mats that say F150 on them. I have not had any issues with mine. They are not slick like the WeatherTech I had in a previous vehicle and they have not curled up even in our very hot climate consisting of over 100 degree summers.

I had the OEM mats, and found them to be OK. My OCD kicked in when it came to cleaning them. The F 150 in white, I could not get that white again and they don't go under the gas petal. There was always alot of sand and sH*t under the petal to vacuumed up. I ordered a set of Husky's for about $75.00 more and much happier with them. They go under the petals and over the door sill. Easy to clean also.

It looks like the Baselyer mat does not adequately cover the gap where the threshold meets the mat. When getting into my truck there is usually debris on my boots and it will end up under the Baselyer mat. The mat looks great but I prefer ones that provide more coverage.

Just a quick curiosity.

I recently heard that the OEM Tray Style Floor Mats that you can option from Ford are terrible quality. Can anyone speak to this? Should a person not bother spending the extra $200 on them and just go buy some WeatherTechs or another solid brand after taking delivery of the truck?
In my opinion, the OEM mats are far better than WeatherTech! I bought WeatherTech mats for my wife’s Infiniti and they are literally crap. The fit is ok but they curl on the edges and I’ve already lost the snaps. Just bad quality.. Not sure about the Husky mats but may try them next time. My Ford mats don’t go under the accelerator pedal would be my only concern.

I had the Ford tray style mats in my 2021 501a for almost 4 years/55,000 mi. and never had an issue with them curling. I liked the quality and the way they laid down. Also, they aren't slick like the WeatherTech mats I've had in the past. I hated the way my shoes would slip on the WeatherTechs when I was getting in the truck. YMMV
Thats good info. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it did take nearly a year to receive the truck. Believe me when I say I was on Autotrader and other sites on a daily basis searching for as close a match but no luck. There was always something missing/added.

Would I do it again? Probably not.
Yeah... I could have settled for a late model 24 and had the truck already but it was never going to be what I wanted.. Something added or something missing, like you mentioned. I made a promise to myself I wouldn't settle on an $80k+ truck. A year is crazy but at least you got exactly what you wanted.

I ordered my truck with the tray style mats and have had them for 2 1/2 years. They seem to cover all the areas that could get dirt. The material seems to be of good quality and there has been no curling.. They lay flat like on day one.. I am happy with them...
Perfect. Thank you.

Thanks for the photo. Those look nice but I see what you are talking about.
