Ford To Ship Trucks Without Chips (Controlling Non-Safety Critical Features)

Has anyone found anything else about this situation. Can anyone answer any of these questions? Are all F-150 trims effected by this. Are the missing modules/chips going to limit some key features of the trucks or will it not be noticeable. Will ford be making some kind of compensation for delivery an incomplete truck?? How long will we be waiting for the missing parts?

We do not know if this article is referring to ordered vehicles or dealer stock vehicles. I do not think the article is referring to ordered vehicles.

I guarantee they won’t respond unless it’s something to the effect of… “please contact your dealership and work with the sales manager. They are the best resource with any questions you might have”. Ford says to talk to your dealership and the dealership says they don’t know, can’t say, and that Ford customer service may be a good resource.
So utterly pathetic; my truck has been in production since 01/12 with no movement. I had a trip planned for April and I never would have thought that if I ordered my truck last July that it wouldn’t be here yet.
Nothing against anyone that placed orders later and have movement but at some point fair is fair isn’t it?

Did you get any production dates? Anything crazy with your build? I have a 501a I ordered Jan 29, im supposed to be in production March 31st.

Nothing about production date yet. It’s almost fully loaded and Powerboost, so that’s a lot of chips. I’m not actually expecting Ford to be able to build it this year at this point.
