I purchased the ford performance tune for my 23 f150 3.5 ecoboost a while back. My main reason for purchase was hoping the tune would clean up some of the awkward shifting of the transmission. Well, I can honestly say it helped a little but not much. The tune did wake the truck up. Made it more responsive I could tell by seat of pants that it had more power and made the truck quicker than stock. Would I buy it again probably not. I actually purchased the 5 star trans tune and have been very happy with the results.

Just curious, is their tune a one size fits all kind of thing or do they allow specific requests within the tune like skip shifting disable, shift firmness, cylinder deactivation, start stop etc.

There tunes are not one size fits all. When you purchase a tuner from them you will send them the stock tune profile of your truck. They will use that to make adjustments for you specific requests. When I purchased my trans tune I told them the issues I was having and they made adjustments. Skip shifting has been eliminated with the tune I have. Also you can have auto/start disabled. Not sure about cylinder deactivation cause I don’t have that on my ecoboost. After having installed a couple of weeks I was still having some small issues I contacted them and they did a revision of the tune to dial it in better. So far so good.
