I’m currently leaning towards purchasing the Ford Performance Bilstein Suspension Kit for my ‘23 platinum eco boost with FX4 and max tow. Anyone have this kit on similar truck that can provide their experience with it? Any issues during installation? Do you need to change out the UCAs or is it fine to run on the stock UCAs? Also, is any calibration needed to the sensors or the auto adjusting headlights?

Any information will be appreciated. Thanks yall!

I had this set and swapped for another. Set was fine, just know you won't get the lift it advertises b/c of the weight of the powerboost (especially a platinum). If you're okay with that then it's a great set.

Won't need new UCA's in my opinion and install is very straightforward. Some say you need to recalibrate the lights, sensors etc. I didn't and lights seem fine and Bluecruise works just as before (same ping pong it always had :).

You will want an alignment afterwards though...

I've heard that the powerboosts don't get the advertised lift due to the additional curb weight. I have an 3.5 ecoboost, so I don't think i'll have that issue... hopefully. What set did you switch over to?

Ah sorry misread, just saw boost on the second line lol. I went with the Roush Fox set b/c of the springs.

If I didn't have the powerboost I would have def stuck w/ that Bilstein set, it was pretty good

On a 2023 Platinum EcoBoost FX4, does the FP Bilstein kit require any calibration besides an alignment for everything to function properly, like BlueCruise, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist? Does the IPMA module need to be recalibrated for any reason?

I put th FP Bilsteins on my 2021 Lariat 502A on a month ago, never needed to do anything with any calibrations to adaptive headlights, 360 camera's, etc.
Truck drives like a dream now, especially on the rear end. I immediately noticed it on the concrete freeway, where it would really bounce on the expansion joints, but now it is like driving on pavement.
Wish I would have done it sooner.

Do you have any pics of the kit installed? Also, would you mind sharing how much you paid for the installation?

I can get pics later today when I get home from work. I paid around 500 for installation, including alignment

Was it installed at a dealer, or an independent shop? The product description indicates that it needs be installed by an ASE certified technician or a Ford Dealer.

Independant shop that specialized in truck lifts, etc. For the Ford warranty, I can live with someone who knows what they are doing than an apprentice in a stealership that still says righty tighty lefty loosey every time he picks up a wrench.

So the independent shop technician wasn't 'ASE Certified'? My concern is that some related component such as a steering gear could fail (failed on my 2014 F-150) and Ford could use it as an excuse and blame the lift because it wasn't installed at a dealership or a certified technician and deny the warranty claim for a steering gear or parking sensors or any other related component.

I would trust the Ford Performance setup more than other aftermarket as far as being 100% compatible with the truck. People install 3 1/2 inch pucks themselves and probably have a lot more issues.

A dealer would look at the Ford Performance setup in a more positive way if I ever have any issues.

If you feel nervous, go get it done at a dealer.

Did you just do the front or rear too?
