Picked up my truck on 12/10 and everything has been great until today. Hoping it is a reception glitch or something similar. The problem is my FordPass has not updated in 14 hours. I also can not lock/unlock or remote start from Ford Pass. It stopped updating when I got to work this morning. Now I am home, 30 miles from work and still no updates. My location still shows my work address.

Good morning! If you are able to send us a private message containing your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to look into this for you.

Is anyone else having problems with FordPass? Tried to remote start it this morning, and nothing, timed out. This is the second time it has gone 24 hours without working. I am fully aware if your cell coverage is terrible, it will not update, but when you have a 2020 Expedition sitting right next to it in the driveway, and FordPass can connect to it, I think there is a problem. I would also believe a 20 mile drive into a Cleveland, OH suburb; the truck would connect to something along the way.

It's a minor inconvenience, but I got used to using it in the Expedition. It is nice to remote start when it is really cold outside at work when I can not reach the truck with the key fob. I also use Alexa to make sure my Expedition is locked at night and remote start it in the mornings. Unfortunately, Alexa only works with a single vehicle or i would use it for the truck too.

I started to run into the problem Tuesday this week. I pickup my truck up on 12/23. I have removed the app, removed the vehicle from my profile and finally made a support call to Ford. The Ford Pass tech that I spoke with could not connect to my truck. She said that I would have to have the modem provisioned. I walked the dealer through what Ford told me and they were in the dark.

Mine is connecting fine. Maybe your truck is in an area with poor cellular coverage?

if it was just my truck I might be able to understand the coverage problem. However my 2020 Expedition has worked without issues for two years. I would also think at sometime during my 20 mile commute to work I would be able to connect to a cell tower.

As I said before it’s a minor
but when it’s working I really like it!

I failed to mention in my last post that the Ford tech I spoke with said they have been running into this issue somewhat frequently with the 2023 F150's and Broncos.

Found this information on how to perform TCU Provisioning. I don't have a FDRS scan tool so will need to take it to the dealer if unplugging the TCU does not work.

https://ford.oemdtc.com/7492/tcu-pr...0-mustang-mach-e-bronco-edge-lincoln-nautilus

" Some 2021 F-150/Mustang Mach-E/Bronco/Edge/Nautilus customers may experience an inoperative FordPass/LincolnWay app, features in FordPass/LincolnWay are not functioning and/or the customer cannot pair the FordPass/LincolnWay mobile app to the vehicle. If the telematics control unit (TCU) on the vehicle does not exhibit any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), but the customer is running into these app concerns, this may be due to poor cell signal getting to the TCU. The TCU – Provisioning Application on the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool will provide cell signal strength information that can help to diagnose the source of the poor cell signal. If poor cell signal is found, refer to WSM 415-00 to help identify an antenna concern. Be sure the vehicle is an open environment."

It will continue working. look at all the TCU posts and this is what I have told them to do every time and its worked 100% of the time.

The other option is if you have forscan to reset the gateway and TCU in forscan.

The issue is the TCU communicates exclusively on ethernet. SO it locks upo and unplugging it resets it completely.

Some people refuse to think somethign so simple will fix it.

It does indeed work. Even though my TCU and GWM were up to date, my connectivity would still cut out for a day or three almost every month. Last June, I unplugged the TCU overnight as you recommended to let the capacitors drain so the TCU could reset completely. Connectivity restored immediately when I repowered the TCU and I haven’t had another drop since the reset seven months ago. Not one.

Is there a tread on how to reset the gateway and TCU with forscan?
