Got a STX with 3.31s and I put in the TBC. First good tow with it today. A 4k# dump trailer. It WAS being hauled by my 350, but the brand spanking new U joint in the rear decided it was my wife when I leave a towel on the floor and had a complete come apart. Now it should be said that the bed currently has 1k# in it of Rye, Wheat, triple 13 and Sugar.
The truck towed amazingly well. Averaged 15mpgs(55-65mph) and never felt low on power or unstable. Total my load was 5k#. Now it is not my diesel. As a gas burner it was DANG impressive. Uphill or down, the truck knew where the trans wanted to be and kept me exactly where I needed to be. Next week I up the ante to 7k pounds as I slowly reach max cap of 9500#.....
OH, and all of this was with the trailer brakes not working. The truck detected a trailer but the TBC said no trailer....not sure where that problem is.
