Good Afternoon All, trying to fire up FDRS and it's telling me that it can't reach the servers. Found a previous thread that says to uninstall the current version and install an older version. I did that and the issue still exists.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Found out from the Rotunda support folks that need to use the independent operator/non-dealer login. Part of that process is a login redirect that sent me out to a Ford login page and then redirected me back into FDRS.

Took about 5 hours to do a few updates and eventually got a warning that said my SOC was at 59% and it didn't recommend proceeding. I hit that 59% even though I had a 20A power supply hooked up. Is this expected?

I'll continue the updates tomorrow.

Thanks to all

Yes, needing a power supply is expected. The programming of modules is a big power draw and doing the updates without a power supply source is very risky. Consider yourself lucky you didn't brick a module.

Check out the main FDRS thread has a lot of info for dong the updates: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...ng-guide-using-fdrs.8249/page-933#post-530147

Use the charger to charge battery to 100% before you begin, giving you a “running head start”. Then put the charger into power supply mode for the updates.

Be sure the positive red is hooked to the + battery post and that the negative black is NOT hooked to the negative post. You need to hook the black charger clamp to the flat part of the ~1’ long black cable that comes off the negative post or to the bolt where said cable attaches to the truck. This way your charger‘s negative input is on the other side of the BMS sensor so BMS can accurately read state of charge.

Make sure you are in POWER SUPPY mode, not charging. PS mode is like having a second battery. 20 amp is all I use. Make sure to turn everything off, before starting each update. Headlights (every time you cycle the key), HVAC, Radio ect.

Is the BCM update something I need/should get? FDRS is telling me I need an additional username/password from a separate organization?

Thanks

What was FDRS showing in the bottom right corner for voltage reading? Should be over 12.7 volts minimum.

You need dealer login to do that update....ignore it for now.

If you have an USB update that requires you to start your truck the charger may turn itself off, mine does.

That was actually the first place I looked, but didn't appear to be the issue.
