You will have the account suspended over and over again when they catch it and you will have to create a new account to be able to log in. There is no way around the issue for people in the UAE, and yes, customer support will treat you like shit when you call.

@mmir experienced this very recently when were trying to get his truck fixed over the course of the past few weeks.

I believe that even using a VPN you will have account issues. I am sure the other member will provide some feedback on his experience.

The following sequence has worked for me so far:
1. VPN into a New York server.
2. Purchase licence at Helm Inc. using an address in the USA. It must be an address that resolves to a single physical endpoint (a re-shipping / virtual mailbox address etc. will not work).
3. Sign into ford.com with an account previously created on ford.com
4. Sign into FDRS using non-dealer/independent, same account as in step 3
5. Only when finished with this FDRS session, logout gracefully and disconnect the VPN

I use expressVPN (no affiliation) without issue.

@ahmedalyamin as others have suggested, you will need a stable VPN connection that doesn’t drop off (preferably has a kill switch).

I switch on my VPN before opening FDRS and only switch off my VPN once I log out of FDRS. As @SilverPigeon said, purchase the license with a real address in the USA.

If your VPN drops off suddenly, the system flags it that your account is a USA based account and is being used in KSA and your account will be suspended.

Ford is cracking down hard on unauthorized use of its software and I think I know what happened to you.

Under the terms and conditions of the Motorcraft Service use agreement (one of the many software use agreements nobody ever reads and just skips over when buying and installing software), users outside of the US and Canada are restricted to “independent repairers.” “An Independent Repairer means a company, person or other entity that is not a Ford Motor Company authorized repairer but is otherwise in the business of and appropriately qualified to provide motor vehicle repair or servicing services to customers for reward.” Use by an individual in a country like Saudi Arabia would be considered a violation of the user agreement.

What I think happened to you (and it is just a theory) is that, although purchasing a license for business use in Saudi Arabia is authorized, and it appears that you indeed operate a legitimate, bona ride auto repair business, when you registered your account on Ford.com and attempted to use it to access FordPass, you essentially told Ford you are actually an individual (a repair business would unlikely have a need for a FordPass account) and they disabled your account when you tried to then log in to FDRS as an individual from a non-US location. That would probably explain your cool reception when you tried to call someone for help. They thought your were an individual trying to access FDRS/IDS from a foreign country, which is a no-no.

I am not sure you can fix this, but here is what I would try:

1. Create an entirely new username and password by opening a new email account. A new email account on gmail, yahoo, outlook—doesn’t matter. What matters is that it’s a new email account that Ford has never seen before on any of its sites.

2. Once you have a new email account, go to www.motorcraftservice.com , click login, and then click the “create account” button. Use your fresh email account as your username and create a password. DO NOT USE THESE CREDENTIALS ON FORD.COM OR FORDPASS. Use this newly created account only for motorcraftservice.com. You will be sent a verification code to your new email address to validate your new account.

3. Once validated, use your new account to log into motorcraftservice.com. When you first log In, you will be prompted to identify what kind of user you are. Select “independent repairer” if it appears in the drop down menu or something as close to it as you can find if it does not. Then accept and not-read the one or two user agreements that are presented to you after you identify the kind of user you are and then your account should be activated.

4. Use the new account you just created to log into FDRS and see if it lets you in.

If this does not work, call the software licensing helpline. The number can be found here. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/diagnostic/Support?channelId=51&categoryId=279. Explain what happened. You are a legitimate repair shop, not an individual, you operate in a foreign country from which you are permitted to purchase an IDS/FDRS license for business use, you had access to IDS/FDRS for a while for use in your business and somehow your account got locked out. See if they can help. Motorcraft tech support and Ford customer service wouldn’t be able to help. You need to call the Licensing Software Helpline at 1-800-768-8632 and select Option #1.

Best of luck.

I have been thru same iessu, I just kept creating account till i finished updating my vehicle,I think you need a new account + VPN ,
they will keep suspending any account access from Saudi Arabia as They treat it as suspicious activity"your Ford account has been suspended due to either suspicious activity or a violation of our Terms and Conditions"

This is their customer support reply to my Email"
"Your account has been suspended because it states you are in the United States, but activity is coming from Saudi Arabia.

The motorcraftservice.com site is not available in Saudi Arabia."

All my attempts end with locking the account by ford, I’ve created about 6 accounts and the furtherest ive gotten is this error then locked account
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ford has majorly cracked down on these things. I have had a few people tell me that even using a VPN, their accounts still get banned. I am not sure if there is a way around this anymore, but if you do find a way, let us know for future reference.

If a truck has ever had its VIN associated (authorised) with a non-us FordPass "garage", the servers must have a record of that. So, when the VIN is checked in FDRS, and it comes up associated with a non-US/CA fordpass account, I believe that is what locks out the truck, regardless of what accounts are created. The selling dealer (non-US/CA) may have somehow done the association in some other system; I don't know. This seems to me to be what's happening.

I used to be keen on getting a TCU that works here because I can't authorise my truck as that process requires cell network connectivity. Therefore, for me, fordpass will not work. As far as ford is concerned, therefore my truck has never left the USA. I no longer wish for a local TCU ?‍♂?
