2021 Powerboost. Getting a phantom warning light with no code repeatedly, wondering if anybody else has seen this.
Alright so starting a month ago I got the dash wrench light with the powertrain malfunction indicator in the app. It all Disappeared by the next morning. A few weeks later when I was going in for a Trans fluid change, oil change and tire rotation I asked the dealer to look at the history and read it. They performed all other services and found no stored codes.
Since leaving the dealer I've had it pop up 3 more times in a couple weeks. Dash wrench, power train malfunction/reduced power message in the app. The first time was the next day and because it disappeared so quick and the truck drove fine the dealer suggested waiting to see if it happened again to see if it was something resetting itself or some sort of glitch. Then I got a couple more. Usually a few days apart.
All disappears after a few cycles of turning the engine off and on. 2 weeks post service the truck drives perfectly and the transmission is buttery smooth. Because I didn't feel like going out of my way to sit in a dealer waiting room again so soon or make an appintment for dropoff without being sure it's a big deal I pulled up to autozone with the wrench light on and asked them to read it.
Came up all green no issues. When I turned it back on to leave the light and app message were gone and all read fine again. They didn't actually reset for me. It just went off.
Just wondering who else has dealt with repeated glitch dummy lights.
The first one I got last year was my truck telling me the heat exchanger valve was malfunctioning. Since then the truck just seems to like to play mind games on me.
