So I've had my truck for about a month now and used the navigation for the first road trip to a buddy's new home about an hour and a half away. Not sure if I need to setup better parameters in it but this is what it did with factory settings. The drive there is pretty simple, basically a bit over an hour down the freeway, then like 10 miles mainly on 1 road the rest of the way there. The factory navigation kept trying to have me cross an unnecessary toll bridge into another state and to take a slower smaller road there, it kept telling me to turn around and do this all the way up to 2 exits before where I should turn, this would have added an extra 1.5 hours to my trip. Once exiting the freeway instead of having me drive on a 2 lane paved road for about 7 miles it had me take a gravel 1 lane road with huge drop offs and blind corners there. Any insight on how to setup this navigation better would be appreciated, or is it just garbage. Only plus is I got to see how well the Tremor soaks up washboard gravel roads.

Yeah, you may want to try Carplay or Android Auto. I only use the built in navigation for weather.

I don't use factory navigation unless it's my last resort. I use Waze via CarPlay - works way better and it gives you notifications of pulled over vehicles, road debris, cops, etc.

I just use the OEM Ford Navigation for the "bread-crumb" feature. Everything else is Google Maps or Waze on AndroidAuto or Carplay.
