Hey Everyone,

I’m waiting for my RCSB 5.0 to be shipped. I’m just can’t wrap my head around the price of the truck. It’s just seems so expensive for what you get. I’m also thinking if I ever do decide to sell the truck after, there definitely won’t be any equity with the cost being so high. My build price was $55,935.00 tax not included. Any thoughts on this ?

That’s gonna be a nice RCSB, but it still seems high. I think that mostly just because of all of the price increases, as everything certainly adds up. Are there any options boxes you didn’t check? Can you get an RCSB as a 302A?

Yeah surprisingly there was a few boxes left that I didn’t need. They don’t offer the 302A for the RCSB.

Gotcha, I was thinking it might be less if you could options an RCSB as a 302.

either way, if it’s worth it to you, then it’s a worthwhile purchase. Any chance you can get x plan on it?

Send your build to @Granger Ford they are selling fords at 3% under invoice. My build MSRP was 79k. my price was right at 70k. so you can save a tun going through them. They are very transparent and easy to work with. Just send them your BUILD URL and ask them for a quote.

They also get their builds scheduled pretty quick.

Good luck.

I would say enjoy but it already sounds like you’re having regrets. If that’s the case just don’t buy. I’ve never understood why my rcsb ladder frame 4x4 f150 cost more than my awd /leather with all other available option crv(plus Honda extended warranty is so much cheaper)

To be fair, the F150 already has more components, more engineering, and more material simply because of the body on frame design you mention. And that all costs money. I won’t even get into all of the engineering for the towing and payload capabilities. Think of all the time spent on ensuring the truck can handle the loadfrom a power, suspension, and braking perspective. The trucks have to be able to safely handle a lot more weight than a few passengers and some luggage.

OTOH we all know there is TONS of markup in these trucks also.

Im not saying the entire cost is fully justified, but comparing it to a crossover isn’t really a fair comparison

More components? Not my truck. Ladder frames have been around forever so not really more engineering. SUV’s also tow. Trucks are cash cows and they know it. Heck most folks that own a truck never use it as a truck (pavement princess). I do like fordhouston’s response..lol
