F150 Orders Placed in Feb 2022

Just received email that my 2/1 Platinum order has been scheduled for week of 9/12.
I actually canceled my order back beginning of May, because I found a truck on my local dealers lot.

My ordered 701a powerboats BAP, is showing the following removed from the build:

• Multicontour seats with Active Motion® Removal
• Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal

Also looks like the spary in liner and max recline seats were removed from the original build.

Will be a good lot truck for the dealer.

I have an appointment to the dealer Friday. I will do a follow-up with my priority number since it appears that Ford Canada don’t see it as well as my salesman.

hope you get built during that week. Kind of sucks it will be a 2022 when the 2023's will go on the line shortly after. BUT at least you are locked in that February pricing.

My Feb build has been sitting waiting to ship for a few months now. We might get them at the same time!

Honestly, the fact that the same truck is ~3k more now is what's keeping me sane! I do have A/Z plan pricing but that's only good until mid-Feb 2023. If I don't get a 2022, I might have to bail and buy something off a dealer lot (if there is anything on the lot) just to use the PIN.

That's the first time I've heard of those options being forcefully removed from Ford... Maybe you can chat/call Ford and see what they say.

Yes, exactly. Some of the other common ones were auto stop/start, active 2.0, bed liner, mud flaps etc that I didn't add to prevent any hold ups. But these just seem insane. It's a completely different truck from what I want.

Two things stand out here.
The first being I thought 2022 order banks were closed on May 13th for customer orders, and May 19th for dealer order. could be wrong but I am pretty sure that is the case.

The second is I have heard things getting dropped. Never heard of an engine being one of them. Also I have no idea how the Chip shortage would impact wheel size.

I order the following on 5/11 i believe.

2022 502A | 5.5ft Box | Smoked Quartz | 3.5 Ecoboost | Max Tow | OnBoard Scales | Twin Panel Roof | Interior Work Surface | Auto Start Stop | Ordered 5.11 | VIN N/A

Nothing has been dropped but I have yet to receive a VIN. so who knows.

I have read that trim matters on some of the options as well. meaning you might not be able to add an option on an XLT but if it comes standard on the Tremor then you are safe. Or if you ordered a package then again I think you are safe. My understanding basically is some of the individual options like co-pilot or 360 cams may be dropped if it is not standard with the trim, or package level.

That kind of makes sense as they are trying to get all these built and out to customers as commodities last.

The last thing I would say on all this is this. Your paying a LOT of money for a truck. get what you want or you will be forever wishing for something you could have had. Even if it means getting a MY23 or 24.

Max tow and the scales might be your problem as dumb as that is. I thought I saw something about the scales being removed from some lightnings and the max tow was having its own hold up not long ago.
