Has anyone experienced this engine rattle? It only happens when motor is cold but does occur every morning. the noise is coming from the passenger side wheel well, when the truck warms up a bit the noise suddenly stops and the truck is running just fine with no check engine light or codes. truck has about 20k miles and the noise (rattle) started back when the truck had 10k miles on it.

I had something like that. But I'm out here in Wyoming and cold temperatures are seriously colder than out your way. Turned out to be a transmission fluid level problem when temperatures got down to 15ºF. The transmission fluid level was slightly low from factory fill and the contraction of fluid with temperature was just barely enough to cause the noise. It did clear on warming up.

Sounds like catalytic converters during an enriched start cycle on a cold day. Maybe a slightly loose heat shield? I would not sweat it.

On my 2015 Ford F-150 my rattle was the heat shield on the catalytic converter, I had some work done on it at a garage and asked the guy if he could fix it, he put a clamp on it and stopped the rattle lol
