Emblems_Platinum Applique

Removed the stainless/chrome appliques on both the tailgate and grille for the body shop. I added the Ford Performance black emblems to my shopping cart. Opened the box and realized the second emblem is really for King Ranch/Lariat, duh.

Anyone have a solution for the small Ford emblem on the Platinum tailgate applique - is it multiple pieces like the large emblems (disassemble-able)? I haven't seen any vinyl overlays for this one and at the body shop so I'm not sure on size.

If you're sold on black leather and wheels, $1400 is a steal for BAP/chrome delete...

Tailgate/front grille parts paint : +/- $600 body shop
Replacement door handles + mirrors : $330 Tasca Parts
OEM spray paint + clear : $124 TouchUp Direct (Tasca Parts and fender emblems)
Vinyl samples coming in from MetroRestyling for the chrome on windows and running boards.
Just need to figure out these emblems, don't think Ford Performance is going to work for me. FYI, I did get a quote from a local wrap company for $600 : this included fender emblems, window chrome, running boards, mirrors, and handle.

If I can ask. Do you have the door handle part numbers? For the front fender vents, I bought a set of paintable XLT vents off marketplace and took them apart and had them painted. I will pop the Platinum part from my factory badge and put it in the new painted vent.

@cptn12 it was a paint to figure out and still not 100% it’s correct. Let me get the parts in to confirm fit.

Chrome is just too played out for me personally. Surprised Ford doesn't offer a "Platinum Black" edition with a combination of black and smoked chrome. That'd be pretty slick. Replacing all silver chrome with the smoked chrome might just be a helluva combo.

I agree, I just don’t understand why they keep putting chrome on stuff. Smoked chrome, black stainless…chrome should be reserved for classic cars IMO. I’d have to assume all the orange sidemarkers and stuff has to do with DOTD or something.
