For the front, I'd like to lift it around 1-1/2" and improve the ride. I've decided to go Eibach Pro Truck. But now I need to decide whether to go with the coilover 2.0 (strut assy), or just swap in a replacement shock/damper into the stock strut assembly. Besides ease of install and easier height adjustments, are there other advantages to going with a replacement strut assembly? How does the ride compare between the two?

Thanks guys!

For me, it's about the adjustable options. I'm looking to do the struts first. Then later if I decide to go to a larger tire, I can increase height as needed. If you know exactly the height you want, and the springs work, I'm sure that would be sufficient. But its not that much more to go with the coil overs. For me, that makes it an easy choice.

If you look into Eibach marketing for the difference between pro truck versus 2.0 or 2.0R. You will be pleased to know that the pro truck stage dampener alone won’t be your answer, they operate with the snap ring design so you’ll dissemble the whole coil over to change height. While the 2.0 completely coil over used the threaded body design which allows spanner wrench to change right height in the fly. If you’re looking for adjustability then you’ll have to go with the completely 2.0 coil over body. Also I did read the coil over body is made of steel so corrosion may be an issue down the road.
