Curious to know what you all think is better for protection and viewing between these two different offerings.

Hopefully these have been in use long enough that there isn’t an issue of lasting quality, but also interested to hear about that.

Please vote based on what you’ve used/are using, and/or what you prefer.

I installed the Spigen on my head unit, a couple months ago and it looks great. I have no issues with any artifacts under it or bubbling up. Little bit of a pain to install but that's with all of these products.

So by necessity respondents must have personal eyes and hands-on experience with both products, eh?

That's likely very few consumers, your 'poll' will most likely simply reflect personal choices made one way or the other based on consumer intuition and other factors, and that info is already available in several other screen-protector threads.

E.G. I have and like Spigen, but must admit I've never directly compared it in-situ with ScreenPro Tech, so have no basis for responding about which is "better" in my opinion. If most folks are honest they'll be in the same position whichever they have, and should not cast any vote.

Just sayin' .....

Thanks for your opinion. I’d hope users cast their vote based on what they’ve used/are using. Updates original thread.

I think I am going to end up running the Spigen, and then using ScreenProTech for the digital instrument cluster and pillars.

I've used Spigen products on my phone for years and have been very satisfied. They make quality products.

I ended using the Spigen tempered glass protector on my main screen, and the ScreenProTech on my digital instrument cluster.

Are we seeing scratches or is this more to prevent glare??

Is this for the dash or the 12” screen?

Both. I did mine to protect, and the main screen with the Spigenhelps with glare.

Did that Spigen degrade the sharpness at all? Or the other brand?

Maybe the slightest bit, but worth it imo as they’re no glare. I haven’t used the ScreenProTech on the main screen, and the one on my digital cluster is clear. Can’t tell it’s there.

Maybe if you stare at it long enough, you'd notice a slight difference in clarity...but to me it looks the same as stock with the Spigen installed.

I found installation to be really easy. The key is: do it as soon as you get the truck. The Spigen kit comes with cleaning wipes, a microfiber patch to dry, and then dust stickers which I prefer to drag along the glass rather than stick & peel; like a tack cloth. Then you peel the back off and use the little built-in handles on the front side to hold the glass so you don't fingerprint the back side. I found the fit to be perfect for the screen so you don't have to choose where you might have an uncovered segment of screen: it covers the whole thing.

Then, use the included squeegee thing to work the air out. If you did a good job cleaning, this should be a very minimal effort because the glass sticks so well to the stock screen.

For me, the glare reduction is a nice bonus. But perhaps the greatest thing about the Spigen protector is the way it feels under your finger. It's much smoother, almost like matte paint in feel, and allows your finger to slide much more smoothly than the more window glass-like stock screen.

Absolutely worth the money.
