Finally picked up my F150 tonight after months and months of waiting (Oct 2020 order). While going through the paperwork with the dealer I noticed something very interesting.
In the paperwork they had the ‘measured curb weight’ of the truck. I have a 702A Platinum with the 157” wheel base. GVWR is 7150 lbs. The yellow sticker lists 1602 lbs of payload.
7150 - 1602 lbs of payload == 5548 lbs. Full tank of fuel is ~226 lbs, so I’d expect the empty tank curb weight (from transport) to be ~5,322 lbs, right?
Their paperwork showed my curb weight as 4,833 lbs. That’s 500 lbs off from my math. What gives?
Is the paperwork I got wrong? Wouldn’t be super surprised… Is there something else I’m missing?
I know, I need to take it to a CAT scale to actually measure.
