i had to to turn off the speed sign READING as around here the farm to market roads have signs that also bear a strange resemblance to the real signs

i find GOOGLE or my connected NAV to dead ON, with current speed limit sign
i have been watching it more closely this past 4 weeks, becasue i got a tracker app from my insurance to see how good i drive and so far the connected nav has changed speed and been correct.

on long trips, i sometimes turn it back on, especially in MS on I-10...speed limits change often , even though i think 90 is the recommended minimum for most of it through to AL,
None are perfect, but all are better than my wife's driving.

This may be a different issue but the adaptive cruise in my 23 Lariat powerboost with 16500 miles has started randomly speeding up changing the setting. It did it 3 times a couple days ago but today it did it repeatedly in a 150 mile interstate drive...enough so I shut it off.

There were no speed limit signs, no cars next to me or in front of me, none in sight at times in other words no apparent "external" reason. I was going to adjust some of the settings before the trip home but we drove home in a snowstorm so never turned the cruise on.

Interestingly, the only commonality every time it sped up was it reset to either _2 or _7 for example 72, 77 or 82. It didn't matter what speed it was set at it always jumped ahead like that. It could go up 7, 4 or 6 but always to a 2 or 7.

I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow

I've but 8K miles on my new F150 Lariat in 6 weeks so lots of BC time running between Iowa, Texas, and Wyoming a couple of times. While heading west through Nebraska for Wyoming earlier this month, I had multiple times over the course of several hundred miles where the truck would take off accelerating back up to the set cruise speed when it had been following (adapting off) a slower vehicle in front of me. Manual braking was required to avoid impact. It was like the vehicle it had been tracking disappeared even though it was still there. Next time I stopped for gas, I checked the left side plastic cover over the sensor. It had multiple bug splats on it but nothing out of the normal. I cleaned it and these acceleration incidents have not occurred in the last 2,300 miles.

Now that I write this, several of these were in construction areas with orange barrels with reflective tape on them.

It has been nice to have BC but I've learned I cannot be trusting.
