I like dual side exit behind tire!
Ok, so I reordered the side exit behind tire this morning. I was kinda regretting cancelling it in the first place because I never got to compare the two. Hopefully have it next week installed.Agree. I've never been a fan of rear duals that hang below the bumper. My vote would be to swap to dual side.
I like the duals initially because I figured that was the norm for me since that's all I've ever done in the past with my f150s. But after looking at the cleaner look of the side exit behind tire, similar to oem, I do like it a tad better.at this point i'm not sure which i like better. the duals showed up but every time i see the side exit of the same exhaust i start to question if i made the right decision.
as others have said including myself...i like the look of duals better...but not against the dual tipped side exit behind rear wheel either.
curious to see which direction you go and look forward to your thoughts.
thats kinda where i'm at. i think many like the look of duals on most vehicles. whether they be single or multi tips. the symmetry of it...but i dont hate the side exit option at all just like duals slightly better.I like the duals initially because I figured that was the norm for me since that's all I've ever done in the past with my f150s. I agree. I like the dual look with the bumper OEM. I like the black tips though only with that look. Also, with Corsa, they are very nice on letting you buy whatever parts you want to change etc the exhaust. I bought just the muffler and headpipe to swap to exteme. Sold the sport muffler quick. Same with this, I only bought the midpipe, tailpipe and tip. i like the duals a lot but my biggest pet peeve is adding the duals but having the standard bumper and the exhaust sit below. i'll drag him into this post but @rugedraw has done is my ultimate goal. maybe not now but maybe by end of 23. i want to add the tremor/BAP rear bumper. at that point i'll have the dual adjusted to fit the cut out.
should i grab the side exit and run that until i do my bumper swap? maybe.
I do like the duals, I'm just not totally against side exits. But I'm not a fan of one single tip on side exit.I am definitely in the minority. I don't like side exit exhausts in any configuration...whether OEM, aftermarket or even dual side exits. I also don't like bumper cutouts. Makes me think of Dodge RAMS and Sierras. I like flush bumpers. The only thing I want to do to my exhaust is get the last section of the exhaust powdercoated or painted black so it blends with my black truck. That's it.
Ive always liked the lighting look of old. I just dont think I would do it on the supercrew. Maybe though.I had an '01 Lightning for years, the thing was MINT and a monster. My last configuration with it was a built motor with a 76mm turbo sitting on top pushing high 600s on pump gas. Since then, I've always like the side exit before the rear tire BUT not many trucks can pull it off without looking like crap.
Fortunately, with my current 5.0 being very street/sporty looking with the drop, the side exit before the tire worked out really well. It also shortens the look of the truck vs rear side and dual rear make the trucks look traditionally "long".
Yep!Front of tire?
Post pics in my other thread!Yep!
