2021 F150 3.5 Ecoboost w/PTA which finally works
Howdy Ladies and Gents,

Sorry...a lot of words follow...

21 F150 3.5 EcoBoost, XLT which has been in the shop more times than necessary for a new vehicle...

Seemingly randomly on cold starts, I'll press the accelerator for an easy start, it will creep forward and the engine revs with RPMs shooting up. When this happens, the RPMs jump quickly, I've noticed 3500-5K until I "reset"...I back off on the accelerator and then it returns to normal operation. It's almost like even though it's moving forward the engine responds like it's in neutral. It's a slight uphill grade so it's not going to take off on it's own.

It's happened once, now, on a warm start conveniently while I was making a right hand turn into traffic. It's also waited until I was about 100' from the house just to provide a false sense of accomplishment

Other random stuff happens occasionally...
Back seat check announces itself...but our backseats are always up. Because dogs are gross.
Last week I turned it off and set the brake. The pop up kept telling me the brake was on (right, I did that) and dinging like the door was open (right, I'm trying to leave) even though the door was closed. I had to restart the truck to get it to stop dinging.

Dealer updated "modules" recently which solved some other problems. They tend to gloss over this issue when I mention it.
They replaced the battery at that time with an AGM. It's testing normally.

Thanks for any input, places to whack with a hammer, new and creative curse words...before it sits at the dealer for another week...

Hi David! There are sharp minds here with a good grasp of how your truck works. Unfortunately I am not one of those people but I do want to clarify something.
Now, you place your foot on the brake pedal and press the start button. You then put the shift lever in drive and move your foot to the accelerator and push it gently. At this point it creeps forward and the RPM climb to over 3000? Do I have the issue correctly identified?
