I’ve always wondered how do these covers affect the side airbags? Even though the force that they come out of is fast, it must obstruct to a certain degree.

Always a great question. Now fortunately for us; we have never been in a situation where we have had to personally test these situation out so we can’t speak from a personal answer. But what we do know is that Clazzio states they use a thread design that is proven to have no effect on airbag deployment or safety at all.
