Chip hold My22 & My23

It's funny...in a way. This forum mirrors life to some degree. The early My23 guys start off posting all giddy, excited and optimistic at the start of their week, checking our tracking every 10 seconds knowing it will soon show as "built", and that we are somehow different, destined for F150 truck greatness. Then nothing...then delayed. We then turn to our elders, the MY22 posts and learn that we were not special, and that Ford had different plans for us, that we're destined to stand hopelessly, mired in a cold nameless field, sharing stories from our optimistically naïve build week youth. Now, the MY23 youngsters from build week 11/14 and 11/21 crop up, chippy, optimistic , excited and full of hope for their builds and the destiny Ford will provide… unknowing and ignorant of a future soon to behold them. Some surely will find greatness and the joy of freedom, traveling on that path less traveled in a shinny new truck. The others will soon stand next to us, in that cold unnamed field, telling stories of all the micro-chips that could have been, and reading the optimistic posts…from build week 11/28.

LOL, tho I didn't put "pen to paper", I have thought the exact same thing reading the youngsters' posts. I remembered the excitement I felt as I got my window sticker, and said to myself - just wait guys, the going gets dismal for most of us.

Shh-h, don't jinx me. I have a road trip planned for March. My current vehicle is not up for that. Never in my wildest expectations did I think that was a possibility when I ordered my truck.

We are getting MY22 in 2023.. There is no way things are going to be cleared out. Holidays, time off, schedule changes, egg nog..

Shh-h, don't jinx me. I have a road trip planned for March. My current vehicle is not up for that. Never in my wildest expectations did I think that was a possibility when I ordered my truck.

My dealer came to me in Dec 21 asking me to trade in and order a new one. I held off until Feb, I had a small plow on my truck and wanted to get thru the winter with it. I too never dreamed it would be this long. Snow will fly here again before I see my new one.

Welp not quite 3 months. Went from 954 to 997 modules.

Just curious, what was the estimated ETA for your truck? Mine is Nov 13-19 now and we have similar builds. Thanks.

Nov 30th but i’m way further north.

Got the call from the dealer that my truck is finally in. 3 months from order to blend, 2 months to built, 8 months to ship and five days transit to dealer. At least one thing went on schedule. Good news is 0% was being honored and price protected, no questions asked from October’21. Dealer is also submitting a request for exception to marketing on an expired pco on my behalf.
Let’s hope it’s not rusted out when I pick it up in a few weeks.
